Hawaii's Covid-19 Restrictions Frustrate Visitors!

EPISODE #2 | Hawaii has gone crazy with Covid Travel Restrictions - you won't believe what they've done!  Learn about the strict new entry requirements.  Let's just say some people aren't very happy...

Hawaii Covid Travel Restrictions (Episode #2)

In this second episode of The Travel Pro Show, we share how Hawaii is frustrating tourists and visitors with its super strict covid test policies. Unfortunately, countless tourists have been turned away on arrival, or forced to quarantine, because Hawaii hasn't done a good job of explaining their entry rules.

You'll see a news clip of a family that went to Hawaii for a celebration but had to turn around and go home, wasting thousands of dollars in the process. The bottom line is, you have to get a PCR test up to 72 hours before you travel, and that test can ONLY be from one of the approved vendors on Hawaii's list.

A few airlines are facilitating these tests for passengers, notably in SFO and LAX, so it's important to check with your airline before you travel, and plan a few weeks out so that you can order an at-home test from Vault, if necessary.

There's MUCH more in this episode, including a review of the travel app Skiplagged, saving money using FoundersCard, a report from Atlanta Airport, and recommendations of other travel resources we like.

Q: Have you been affected by these restrictions? We’d love to hear from you - please share your thoughts and opinions in the comments. We value your feedback!  Also, we always love and appreciate it when you share the show with your friends and travel buddies - thank you!
